Cyanotoxines zijn momenteel aanwezig in het Iola Bekken. Tot nader order raadt het park aan dat geen persoon of huisdier zwemt in, of drinkt uit, de reservoirwaters in het Iola Bekken. Cyanotoxines kunnen aanwezig zijn in de Cebolla en Sapinero Bekken. Wees voorzichtig bij het vissen, varen, of Details open_in_new

Reserveringen voor rondvaarten worden aanbevolen, vooral in het hoogseizoen.
Het Elk Creek Visitor Center ligt 15 mijl ten westen van Gunnison aan Highway 50.
