Scotts Bluff National Monument is een belangrijke historische plek in Nebraska, bekend om zijn torenhoge rotsformaties die als een herkenningspunt dienden voor pioniers op de Oregon Trail. De kliffen zijn vernoemd naar Hiram Scott, een bonthandelaar die tragisch genoeg aan de voet ervan stierf in de jaren 1820, wat een sombere noot toevoegt aan de geschiedenis van het gebied.

Bezoekers komen om de paden te verkennen en te genieten van het uitzicht op de North Platte Valley. Het monument biedt een kijkje in het verleden, waar het landschap een cruciale rol speelde in de westwaartse expansie van de Verenigde Staten.
